1. 100% Local Processing Guarantee

PrivacyBlur Plus operates completely inside your browser's local sandbox. All data identification (email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, credit cards, and custom regex rules) and all visual obscuration (CSS highlights and styling) are performed entirely on your device.

2. Zero Data Collection & Exfiltration

The extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or monetize any user data. The codebase contains zero external network requests (no fetch, XMLHttpRequest, WebSocket, or navigator.sendBeacon).

3. Local Storage Usage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local solely to store your preferred settings, detector toggles, visual masking styles, and custom keyword rules on your local computer. This information never leaves your device.

4. Permissions Policy

PrivacyBlur Plus declares only the minimum necessary permissions under Chrome Manifest V3:

• storage: To persist detector preferences locally.
• contextMenus: To provide convenient right-click protection options.
• <all_urls>: To inject the local content script and apply CSS highlights across active webpages.
